At The Growing Place, we believe children are more likely to explore, learn, and create when they feel comfortable with their surroundings and teachers. Therefore, we have combined the educational, physical, and social environment of a preschool with a stable, intimate, and home-like setting. The splash of color in each room transforms the typically mundane daycare classroom into a bright, interesting place to learn and discover. We want your children to feel at home, even when they cannot be.
We recognize that all children learn, grow, and develop at different stages. It is our responsibility to foster and encourage each child to his or her fullest potential. We believe in offering children a variety of activities mentally, physically, and socially to further their developmental levels in fun and exciting ways.

Curriculum:
We use the Creative Curriculum. It is one of the top early childhood curriculums recommended by Pennsylvania’s Department of Education.
The Creative Curriculum allows our teachers to use their own originality in each lesson plan based upon developmental needs of the child through state standards. The curriculum focuses on using the environment as a tool to build vocabulary, language development, socialization, fine and gross motor skills, and much more. Two checkpoint assessments are given in Spring and Fall to evaluate the child’s progress within the curriculum. We also use programs such as Jolly Phonics and Handwriting Without Tears to further develop each child’s vocabulary, literacy and writing skills.
Summer Camp:
The Growing Place Summer Camp is an exciting program for children ages 5-10. Fun weekly themes encourage the children to explore the world around them, challenging them both physically and mentally! We believe summer is all about having fun! Spending time with friends, participating in sports, exploring nature, and attending special events are just a few of the ways we intend on making this summer an unforgettable time for your child!
The Growing Place Summer Camp includes five days of activities. You are free to choose the weeks you attend.
