September 15, 2022

Did you know that local families with a library card have access to dozens of wonderful museums FOR FREE with the use of the Museum Pass Program available from the Chester and Delaware County Library systems?

Library cardholders in good standing (fine free) are able to borrow family museum passes from their local library. The museum pass program has different museum options and days available and is subject to availability. Each library and museum has their individual requirements for lending and pick-up. Visit the website of your nearest branch to find more information.

  • Chester County Library System is introducing a new reservation system for museum passes. Like the previous system, you will need a valid library card number and know your library card’s Personal Identification Number (PIN) to place a reservation.
  • Please note that all passes must be picked up and returned to the appropriate Library branch during regular business hours. Do not drop the passes in the outside book drop.
  • The pass is available for a 5-day loan period, and is not available for renewal.
  • The late fee is $25 per day.
  • Lost pass fees depend on the price of the museum. The cost for each pass is $50 plus a $4 processing fee.
